Baby boy crochet sneakers and football amigurumi toy

Here I am, back on completing the baby projects for the american side of my family!!

After taking care of the baby girl present with baby ballerina and a matching bunny amigurumi I had to think of a cool present idea for the baby boy from the other side of the family...

...I had some tips from my mother-in-law, who told me that the parents of the baby are big football fans and the main color of the college they both went to is maroon...

So I started looking around, until I found this lovely pattern from Cathyren on Esty, which you can find at the following link!

I simply loved it and thought it was perfect for my gift idea!

So I bought some maroon rowan cotton yarn and started following the pattern!

The pattern has an unusual way of working out the booties, but it is very easy to follow and I was quite happy with the results.

If you're thinking of a baby boy present idea, I think this could be a cute set to start from!

Hope you like them!

Crochet Bunny Amigurumi

As I was telling you, my idea at the moment is to prepare two newborn sets for July. I had made crochet cotton newborn ballerina a couple of weeks ago for the baby lady to be born in July...and now I just finished a bunny amigurumi in matching colors.

For the pattern, I used the free pattern from All About Ami, which you can find here. The pattern is really amazing, as she explains step by step how to make your bunny and it's easy to follow.

As for the colors and yarns, I just used the same rowan cotton I used for the ballerina.

Here is my finished bunny!!

I really hope you like it!

And here is the full set for the baby girl including the ballerina!

Hope I gave you a nice idea for newborn sets / combinations!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Spring Newborn Crochet Baby Ballerina

Happy Sunday!!!

This weekend I've started working on newborn projects....we are going to have 2 new members of the family from my husband side and, as we'll go to the States to visit them this July, I thought I should start working on something handmade to bring along!!

For the lady to be born in July, I have in mind to prepare a small box with a pair of crochet baby ballerina and an amigurumi in matching colors!!

I am using Rowan cotton glace' in beige and yellow (as they told me that yellow is the main decorating color of her room to be)!!

For the baby ballerina pattern...I started with my flower ballerina baby booties one and I have hopefully made some improvements, as well as enjoyed myself using a combination of 2 colors!!

They look quite summer-ish, and probably it's the yellow that helps!!!

Hope you like them!!!!

The amigurumi in matching colors is work in progress...and I will hopefully be able to share it with you soon!!

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday and looking forward to your comments!

Hat & Booties Crochet Set for a baby on the way

My adorable colleague, Danielle, is waiting for her second baby!!!

She has always supported me in my crochet passion, following step by step all the projects I have been working on... therefore, I thought a crochet present for her baby shower was due!

I found this pattern on Knot Your Nanas Crochet blog and I loved the idea of giving her a full set with hat and baby booties.

As many people here in London, Danielle has decided not to know in advance the sex of the baby in order to receive a beautiful surprise directly on the day of birth!

So.... I decided to use a neutral color ...and I thought beige could do!

I found the pattern great and easy to follow and I would definitely suggest you to try it!
I simply love the ears on top of the hat!!!

Wishing you a lovely day!

A Teddy for baby Gio'

A few weeks ago I found myself looking into boxes and drawers as I had to get all my things away for my old flat to be rented out ... it was quite nostalgic and happy at the same time as I found letters, love ones, those with funny jokes, quotes and drawings and them.....I came face to face with teddy...ohhhhh, my lovely friend since I was born!! One of those trips back in time... I hugged him and I started thinking...
.....my lovely niece still doesn't have her teddy!!!...Ohhhhh....Well, it must be time to put myself at work!!

My sister had given me as a present an Amigurumi course
from Craftsy (Amigurumi-Woodland-Animals)... and I did remember that it included a bear. Therefore, changing just a few things.. I made her this teddy bear!!!!

My niece seemed quite impressed when I gave it to her...hopefully positively..but we still don't know as she's too young to speak....good news she didn't cry at the sight of it ..lol

I believe the strong color of the scarf was attracting most of her attention...and then obviously the ears... I hope I've made them strong enough as that's where teddy is carried around from ...ihihhi

Hope you like it!
