The little one will be born in December, and we are expecting him on the same day in which my best friend (his auntie) was born!<br />
<br />
I am really over excited, as I think becoming an auntie is going to chance my best friend's life! :)<br />
<br />
So, to give him a nice welcoming to the world, I've made this tiny pair of crochet car baby booties! What do you think?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0vqPhmc1PuN4Er8-4drsRp-D6ogo8id3B1cbC4Y-aQ8QMVeVh93dSNR8KUPvzxkqE_dgCkhqBe8Ue49U2cX9ONdZ6E4Z1EBR_vNGN0DHYZck1OuDjI8RVdxdzzgfP-NgN4-gMTnCux6I/s1600/IMG_6128.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0vqPhmc1PuN4Er8-4drsRp-D6ogo8id3B1cbC4Y-aQ8QMVeVh93dSNR8KUPvzxkqE_dgCkhqBe8Ue49U2cX9ONdZ6E4Z1EBR_vNGN0DHYZck1OuDjI8RVdxdzzgfP-NgN4-gMTnCux6I/s1600/IMG_6128.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I thought that making a car appliqué would have been much harder than it turned out...and I was quite happy about it!<br />
<br />
I am flirting with ideas of making a small amigurumi to go with the booties....but still need to put together a nice project idea...we'll see!<br />
<br />
Hope you like the booties!<br />
<br />

He had seen a pair from one of his favourite designers but they were very expensive...so we thought the handmade option could have made it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1Oo44xEQiEXdZvcBKYPkniL3L9KhqKOOdpgJRz6noWAF6lEqPmj4vrSeiOynLnOS1rND9PcYLoxYW-mQsTMRIYaToqrcck1oHcvYwP5NZBvhgTTC8iwXna12fw-d3SovbkhBHDOgNOhI/s1600/IMG_6065+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1Oo44xEQiEXdZvcBKYPkniL3L9KhqKOOdpgJRz6noWAF6lEqPmj4vrSeiOynLnOS1rND9PcYLoxYW-mQsTMRIYaToqrcck1oHcvYwP5NZBvhgTTC8iwXna12fw-d3SovbkhBHDOgNOhI/s1600/IMG_6065+2.JPG" height="286" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
It took me long to put myself to realize them as I was initially looking for a nice pattern, but I couldn't find much that was simple enough for him to like it! He just wanted it plain, in a soft cashmere wool and well-fitted to his arms, leaving space to wear it on some shirts eventually.<br />
<br />
So I decided to get some cashmere black yarn and started building the pattern on him... and here is the final result!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp4DKgYIsRPzQKsZ8vLxVP_AagG5jlPAlPwfxEhk9q_CE5xFJOgReqzy3yQaUpdjZhTbIXtpkgyBwDMQMGXfKHlhFGjLCR-roA95MDn04QCmObOy6z9oaLCAmXzxW_Lu2D-zhK8Xb1wnY/s1600/IMG_6064.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp4DKgYIsRPzQKsZ8vLxVP_AagG5jlPAlPwfxEhk9q_CE5xFJOgReqzy3yQaUpdjZhTbIXtpkgyBwDMQMGXfKHlhFGjLCR-roA95MDn04QCmObOy6z9oaLCAmXzxW_Lu2D-zhK8Xb1wnY/s1600/IMG_6064.jpg" height="400" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
I really like the idea of wrist warmers as a male accessory, and I think they look pretty cool on him.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYJwy0eriT078BcBbMMuThb84xOEcn-OFgy6R5e3lS5jrEmcQ5lZETCly2TmhUF-At1CS1u9DJfhznAzRF1QHnUrIAr-kUGFWFdTYGlozJTHnykfgaWlYgdPOrJk4jpQ4wBV0T-iN4Omk/s1600/IMG_6114.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYJwy0eriT078BcBbMMuThb84xOEcn-OFgy6R5e3lS5jrEmcQ5lZETCly2TmhUF-At1CS1u9DJfhznAzRF1QHnUrIAr-kUGFWFdTYGlozJTHnykfgaWlYgdPOrJk4jpQ4wBV0T-iN4Omk/s1600/IMG_6114.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
It happens to me all the time...so I thought about using crochet to fix this little issue and I crocheted a key cover!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwJpZZKBfvwKI1-MpHZ3JlZt5zCxgy6COtT2Yk5gMlpd2v9Dsy0FM6K151bBhIAG0RUnPwkh8ZWEOu02IaUT7PRt1WDix4hNx2ej_UKnjQUw0ZSUXwm3ITGuHzXbm8WXRyNu9Vkww1-04/s1600/IMG_5919+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwJpZZKBfvwKI1-MpHZ3JlZt5zCxgy6COtT2Yk5gMlpd2v9Dsy0FM6K151bBhIAG0RUnPwkh8ZWEOu02IaUT7PRt1WDix4hNx2ej_UKnjQUw0ZSUXwm3ITGuHzXbm8WXRyNu9Vkww1-04/s1600/IMG_5919+2.JPG" height="236" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
It was for my bike lock keys, therefore I thought that the easiest way to make the right key stand out, was to use the same colours that I used to crochet my bike bell and saddle, which you can find <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/bike-crochet-saddle-bell-covers.html">HERE</a>!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkWgDRCLZtV-Z_r9ibJh9EixETarG-92zu8WVeVwxPsvzr3BEdDRTC0hHbCZ5-2au1mNPlEpRwtS_AvVSBWKwUw5Dnrw04ZJFeUom3g2WWHXywpv4BC94ndJgT0W0rElSxySEXHCGNh2A/s1600/IMG_5929.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkWgDRCLZtV-Z_r9ibJh9EixETarG-92zu8WVeVwxPsvzr3BEdDRTC0hHbCZ5-2au1mNPlEpRwtS_AvVSBWKwUw5Dnrw04ZJFeUom3g2WWHXywpv4BC94ndJgT0W0rElSxySEXHCGNh2A/s1600/IMG_5929.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
It took me no longer than 5-10 mins and my key problem had disappeared!!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZYKo8H7vCAqfZDI-cDoGh75C_vBfhHwWXUjkwvGDU-4ql0sUj9FH7ID1SLrLauFsj4se2tKRG9kvuUTCqohmEkacCrQpy4ENIKpc9JwtO8WwT33fnXQezIvVzRKsiMT5irtL1_4HWRD8/s1600/IMG_5934+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZYKo8H7vCAqfZDI-cDoGh75C_vBfhHwWXUjkwvGDU-4ql0sUj9FH7ID1SLrLauFsj4se2tKRG9kvuUTCqohmEkacCrQpy4ENIKpc9JwtO8WwT33fnXQezIvVzRKsiMT5irtL1_4HWRD8/s1600/IMG_5934+2.JPG" height="284" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
If you'd like to make one, here below are the simple instructions for my key cover, which would work for a medium size rounded key using a 3mm hook:<br />
<br />
Color A:<br />
Round 1: Start with a magic loop, 5sc in the magic loop<br />
Round 2: 2sc in each stitch (total 10 st)<br />
Round 3: 1sc in next 3 st, 2 chains and skip next 2st, 1sc in next 3 st, 2 chains and skip next 2st (10 st)<br />
Round 4: 1sc in each stitch (total 10 st).<br />
As I was working in rounds I do 2 more sc in the next 2 st in Color A before changing colour.<br />
<br />
Color B:<br />
Round 5: 1sc in each stitch (total 10st)<br />
<br />
Color A:<br />
Round 6: 5sc2tog (total 5 st)<br />
<br />
Fasten off and the key cover is ready! You can then make as many chains as you want with Color B and pass them through the hole to tight it to your set of keys.<br />
<br />
I would be happy to hear if you try making one and if the instructions are easy to follow.<br />
<br />
Hope you liked the idea!<br />
<br />
Wishing you all a happy evening!<br />

I believe this weekend is going to be a good time to carve pumpkins and bake pumpkin seeds!!<br />
<br />
But apart from real pumpkin decorations, this year I thought I would make also a crochet pumpkin, simple and very quick to make.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIoZxzqWJ5lzY680UUTCibkqI2c54rwmA72wXuxZG-m_dzN4_48hrKh3Gv4onDNp7eXvBU-67Ecaj8MuPerX3cmyanY-CRc1SOAvi0w_DhP8GnwzgRCnWd5f4SIlGD7KP06f-H6W-x09Y/s1600/IMG_5939+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIoZxzqWJ5lzY680UUTCibkqI2c54rwmA72wXuxZG-m_dzN4_48hrKh3Gv4onDNp7eXvBU-67Ecaj8MuPerX3cmyanY-CRc1SOAvi0w_DhP8GnwzgRCnWd5f4SIlGD7KP06f-H6W-x09Y/s1600/IMG_5939+2.JPG" height="254" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
It's a good fit for Halloween and Thansgiving decorations, together with my last year's projects of <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/spooky-timesspiders-hanging-around.html">SPOOKY SPIDERS</a> and <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/time-for-thanksgiving-decorations.html">TURKEY AMIGURUMI</a>!<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbfKzJ1dvzFPxJlE_IRmcCTg2bKvqe6bahjnQ1AMCGGQt_-9_5ZiIIW20pI2-c3J-MdL1Qxv2ENW5gSHUrk-8sHqi_yvZ2qt6k5NKh1Bi8Q6ZadSNnE3oIscDVUc5U5zYwmdDT6x-X_lk/s1600/IMG_6009+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbfKzJ1dvzFPxJlE_IRmcCTg2bKvqe6bahjnQ1AMCGGQt_-9_5ZiIIW20pI2-c3J-MdL1Qxv2ENW5gSHUrk-8sHqi_yvZ2qt6k5NKh1Bi8Q6ZadSNnE3oIscDVUc5U5zYwmdDT6x-X_lk/s1600/IMG_6009+2.jpg" height="314" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
It's a very simple project and you can use any leftovers as it does not require a lot of yarn.<br />
<br />
I hadn't focused much on crocheting for the kitchen and I wanted to "spice up" a little bit my oregano jar, so I crocheted around the cover using a light green cotton, while using a darker green as a contrast on the edge and for the bow.<br />
<br />
What do you think of it?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcW7uezr1VuTtjbu4j23LDUrBJiFyUJ3Koz4UXd_EVzNsujRqmJRMVGt2IoLPgZqDOOJhzh7Z4yJmFOKzIaYFw8-t5luK6Oh_QYEQhjH66ly-m-hQEzoHdvVWUE_EnHI-f7F_braCxSH0/s1600/IMG_5973+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcW7uezr1VuTtjbu4j23LDUrBJiFyUJ3Koz4UXd_EVzNsujRqmJRMVGt2IoLPgZqDOOJhzh7Z4yJmFOKzIaYFw8-t5luK6Oh_QYEQhjH66ly-m-hQEzoHdvVWUE_EnHI-f7F_braCxSH0/s1600/IMG_5973+2.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I am quite happy with the way it fits within my spice rack...and I have a feeling that this could be the first one of a big series!!<br />
<br />
Hope you like it!<br />

<br />
It had been a while since I wanted to realise a mug cozy and, thinking a bit ahead, it could be a sweet present for Christmas.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiIsycKkBGIpAQrHX3nfCU6FHHIVmeJ-MlcpdlUmW48bilIZVM0OBzNFvQUnx-ri3VILuS7cnEYA_LD1MdvZ6x_drWMrEv9EjjdIiwpQxtf6BT1INdGAQtugZXJKXVLSCZ2us9dYDuNiQ/s1600/IMG_5902.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiIsycKkBGIpAQrHX3nfCU6FHHIVmeJ-MlcpdlUmW48bilIZVM0OBzNFvQUnx-ri3VILuS7cnEYA_LD1MdvZ6x_drWMrEv9EjjdIiwpQxtf6BT1INdGAQtugZXJKXVLSCZ2us9dYDuNiQ/s1600/IMG_5902.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></a>I followed the free pattern from Marion Hassold, and you can find the link to it <a href="http://finvara.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/marions-mug-warmer-cozy-new-version.pdf">HERE</a><br />
<br />
The pattern is very easy to follow and super quick to realize...it took me about half hour to make it....and your present is ready!!!<br />
<br />
I used a 4.5mm hook with a medium thickness yarn.<br />
<br />
Just sent a picture to my sister telling her my idea to start making more as Christmas presents and she suggested me to start making one for her to keep it in her office :)<br />
<br />
Hope you like the idea and follow the link through this easy pattern...sure many of your friends and family will enjoy it!<br />
<br />
Wish you a lovely Sunday<br />

All of my friends seem to be getting more and more into shabby chic style....so I thought I'd try to create something of kind in crochet...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A few months ago I made <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/tiny-crochet-purse.html">my first crochet purse</a> out of a pattern from Inside Crochet...and in that occasion I had ordered a package of silver frames...all of which, apart from one, were still sitting in my big box waiting to be used.... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
...I got the IDEA!!! A small crochet purse made out of my own pattern! I am quite proud of the final product! Ahahah... I guess it's because it was the first time I've been using the bobble stitch and I realised I really love the effect.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyKssHbhDL3eDMzsKGM-7eMajGor-Pox4cmobtIKhmdUkr84OT72LrwyickEzqqXQxMZUlwzdMP2U1yuV74CUx-NwPj4k2qsnBGXvCgJB_XGJ-jc8IHvToTHi_zyHP02S6WYd1-h4cpos/s1600/IMG_5746+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyKssHbhDL3eDMzsKGM-7eMajGor-Pox4cmobtIKhmdUkr84OT72LrwyickEzqqXQxMZUlwzdMP2U1yuV74CUx-NwPj4k2qsnBGXvCgJB_XGJ-jc8IHvToTHi_zyHP02S6WYd1-h4cpos/s1600/IMG_5746+2.JPG" height="266" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
To learn how to work out the bobble stitch I used a very nice tutorial, and you can find the link <a href="http://www.dreamalittlebigger.com/post/bobble-stitch-crochet.html">HERE</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is a very filling stitch, with the only downside that it does take a lot of yarn....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I would be really curious to hear your thoughts about my purse...</div>
<br />

<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsDgLJ_eCKVUDlEQA_Ou8TOuqr19b4GrPVl0HpVD8yWl5WE8zZZxgYGl81ASZ8Hg3dMs2v_p7Eh_QUnT-PTOy5lZaxuWcDm2-tdYmKXmWkXhthUs5EEqCC_vkES4paAlt8hrg1Mpg3wIQ/s1600/IMG_5485.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsDgLJ_eCKVUDlEQA_Ou8TOuqr19b4GrPVl0HpVD8yWl5WE8zZZxgYGl81ASZ8Hg3dMs2v_p7Eh_QUnT-PTOy5lZaxuWcDm2-tdYmKXmWkXhthUs5EEqCC_vkES4paAlt8hrg1Mpg3wIQ/s1600/IMG_5485.jpg" height="320" width="203" /></a>I hadn't thought of making crochet doorstop until I got delivered issue 54 of Inside Crochet. The pattern is from Emma Varnam and I found it joyful and easy to realize. Then I added a few sparkle on top as this how I would typically bake my cupcakes ;)<br />
<br />
I found the whole idea of crochet doorstop pretty cool…and I feel like I am going to let my creativity go crazy on my next one and develop my own pattern! I will keep you posted on this and share the pattern with you, would you be interested!<br />
<br />
Maybe I've inspired you to make crochet doorstop as well…if so, please share your pictures with me as I'd be really keen to see your finished projects!<br />
<br />
Hope you like my new colorful doorstop and I wish you a lovely Sunday<br />

<br />
It's my second time making crochet earrings. My first pair was realized for my best friend's birthday, and you can find pictures and link to the post <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/my-first-crochet-earringsfor-my.html">here</a> !!!<br />
<br />
…this time I am not working in rounds but in a spiral in the round, like you would do with amigurumi.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The pattern is from Liz Ward from issue 53 of Inside Crochet and it's super easy.<br />
<br />
It actually gets you playing with pliers and clippers, making me willing to make more jewelry some time soon….<br />
<br />

<br />
I found it fun, and if you make them in different colors they could match all of your flashy summer dresses and shirts!<br />
<br />
Hope you like them <br />

It is incredible among Pinterest and crochet magazines how much creativity and ideas you can find for your crochet projects…with the tiny danger of ending up having yourself and your place covered in crochet… which I personally don't see it as a bad thing (not sure about my hubby, but better not ask ;) )….so I feel pretty justified for my last project!!!</div>
<div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBzBrRP2ImusN_bcpeZ6C2hg_quGY6v75Vc56Dn3xhG7Rsf-tAwkf2MAw34GXbDG70ozkcWfmfb-WnqoO9Q-oZpsudZ6I2qI3HQEro2AMCbRfuYcHQotdvlQiQpL_puTQPUwiRyIKccDk/s1600/IMG_5444+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBzBrRP2ImusN_bcpeZ6C2hg_quGY6v75Vc56Dn3xhG7Rsf-tAwkf2MAw34GXbDG70ozkcWfmfb-WnqoO9Q-oZpsudZ6I2qI3HQEro2AMCbRfuYcHQotdvlQiQpL_puTQPUwiRyIKccDk/s1600/IMG_5444+2.jpg" height="320" width="171" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
I had decided I wanted to realize something for my house….and, after flipping around on Pinterest for a while, I thought that a nice crochet wall storage would have been the perfect project to get me involved!<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Regarding the pattern, feeling pretty lucky to get "Inside Crochet" delivered home, I found a lovely crochet tidy pattern designed by Ali Campbell in the issue 51...and I felt like going for it!!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The main stitch used is very basic and simple, which made this the perfect project to work on rainy days while watching a movie or my addictive tv series….as it takes a bit longer to realize but being the stitch quite simple it does not require your full attention! </div>
<br />
I am quite happy with the outcome, though I am thinking of possibly playing with some fabric on the pockets..or would that make it too crowded?..not too sure for the moment...what would be your suggestion?<br />
<br />
Wish you all a lovely weekend!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqHNpDHq3e2jJb4mq5A6-5KP5btgW9iYkQWGIUpZYAInzgtd0dAymu4vLAqqWmTXlSCNI4ifRgMhP3wjFPrvBuZ0bMvZuNk5te6ZWX2r4-QSYdjJxwjFTmLBCaL0VdGiJIsKUf1BwK29E/s1600/IMG_5389.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqHNpDHq3e2jJb4mq5A6-5KP5btgW9iYkQWGIUpZYAInzgtd0dAymu4vLAqqWmTXlSCNI4ifRgMhP3wjFPrvBuZ0bMvZuNk5te6ZWX2r4-QSYdjJxwjFTmLBCaL0VdGiJIsKUf1BwK29E/s1600/IMG_5389.jpg" height="320" width="226" /></a></div>
<br />
I always thought it would have been very difficult to put it together, especially as I don't have a lot of experience in sawing and I was worried that when putting the crochet bit together to the frame I would have made it look a bit messy :p<br />
<br />
Luckily, I have to say that it is way simpler than you could guess to realize, and you can work it out how make the stripes straight with respect to the frame.<br />
<br />
What do you think of my color picks?<br />
<br />
As for the silver frames, they can be easily found on Etsy…and, of course, I did order more than one ;) ….which means that I will soon put my mind at work and see how to personalize these tiny purses to make customized presents for my friends, with colors, maybe some beads or some appliqués…we'll see!<br />
<br />
I hope you like it<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
She basically saw me playing with crochet since my first moments and she's always been very supporting as well as very excited and proud of my outputs!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Last month I was showing her the <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/crochet-bunny-amigurumi.html">bunny amigurumi</a> I had realized and she asked me "when you have some free time….you know I love small things, would you do something for me?"</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So I looked around for ideas and I found several tutorials for crochet hearths…In particular I used the tutorial from the blog of <a href="http://amiamore.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/amigurumi-heart-tutorial.html">amiamore</a> to make a tiny red hearth, and the tutorial from <a href="http://www.freshstitches.com/hearts/">freshstitches</a> for a medium size green hearth!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjonIa_-0-GTCuusrSBklzKY9fwKb2X0Uq_VgAiDf8KZq092p41VmFTlK4SS0fxtsahyphenhyphenK7rcfdRq3m69RbbgyqtvWQjW-UInPQLSTV0Ofl47ZLnEpdCuymyQNcZpgO8GKUVNSZ8fcxRlqg/s1600/IMG_5407.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjonIa_-0-GTCuusrSBklzKY9fwKb2X0Uq_VgAiDf8KZq092p41VmFTlK4SS0fxtsahyphenhyphenK7rcfdRq3m69RbbgyqtvWQjW-UInPQLSTV0Ofl47ZLnEpdCuymyQNcZpgO8GKUVNSZ8fcxRlqg/s1600/IMG_5407.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Both tutorial were really easy to follow and quick to realize, and the fresh stitches free download has three different sizes you can play with, according to what you'd like to use your crochet hearth for!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
I had fun making them and I can't wait to give them to Amy!!! I hope she's gonna like them and maybe use them as accessories for bags? (I think I personally like them on bags ;) )</div>

After taking care of the baby girl present with <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/spring-newborn-crochet-baby-ballerina.html">baby ballerina</a> and a matching <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/crochet-bunny-amigurumi.html">bunny amigurumi</a> I had to think of a cool present idea for the baby boy from the other side of the family...<br />
<br />
...I had some tips from my mother-in-law, who told me that the parents of the baby are big football fans and the main color of the college they both went to is maroon...<br />
<br />
So I started looking around, until I found this lovely pattern from Cathyren on Esty, which you can find at the following <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/transaction/192561610?ref=fb2_tnx_title">link</a>!<br />
<br />
I simply loved it and thought it was perfect for my gift idea!<br />
<br />
So I bought some maroon rowan cotton yarn and started following the pattern!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2ceJ0mVklm5Je1vRQ9zB7yH8XHlds-3hYghAr-u57VX2N1Cs22Kf95qghrlN1KN9P7lxBOu0MLR_d4d6f9JPdIDIlkzasNM80JnXssROADsVEWOQfmK7dmWyjPIy6ahZ0V7UcZBLoHfo/s1600/IMG_4901.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2ceJ0mVklm5Je1vRQ9zB7yH8XHlds-3hYghAr-u57VX2N1Cs22Kf95qghrlN1KN9P7lxBOu0MLR_d4d6f9JPdIDIlkzasNM80JnXssROADsVEWOQfmK7dmWyjPIy6ahZ0V7UcZBLoHfo/s1600/IMG_4901.JPG" height="200" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The pattern has an unusual way of working out the booties, but it is very easy to follow and I was quite happy with the results.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you're thinking of a baby boy present idea, I think this could be a cute set to start from!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope you like them!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I had made <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/spring-newborn-crochet-baby-ballerina.html">crochet cotton newborn ballerina</a> a couple of weeks ago for the baby lady to be born in July...and now I just finished a bunny amigurumi in matching colors.<br />
<br />
For the pattern, I used the free pattern from All About Ami, which you can find <a href="http://www.allaboutami.com/post/4546656362/springbunnies">here</a>. The pattern is really amazing, as she explains step by step how to make your bunny and it's easy to follow.<br />
<br />
As for the colors and yarns, I just used the same rowan cotton I used for the ballerina.<br />
<br />
Here is my finished bunny!!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This weekend I've started working on newborn projects....we are going to have 2 new members of the family from my husband side and, as we'll go to the States to visit them this July, I thought I should start working on something handmade to bring along!!<br />
<br />
For the lady to be born in July, I have in mind to prepare a small box with a pair of crochet baby ballerina and an amigurumi in matching colors!!<br />
<br />
I am using Rowan cotton glace' in beige and yellow (as they told me that yellow is the main decorating color of her room to be)!!<br />
<br />
For the baby ballerina pattern...I started with my <a href="http://crochetbrio.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/flower-ballerina-baby-booties.html">flower ballerina baby booties</a> one and I have hopefully made some improvements, as well as enjoyed myself using a combination of 2 colors!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7toxqrwDjyGkO7CXi_qOHU5yDLZaO2qQmeRrzudSPjV8BV2e2vfikYVskUzPYHCzvSY-u_Wq7sLRw54495vvRGc8jQrz3-JeFDm-FjpV9yfxf_IG7TQznlbJk2rTQSlkfUa1Sgh5Jp9Y/s1600/IMG_4844.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7toxqrwDjyGkO7CXi_qOHU5yDLZaO2qQmeRrzudSPjV8BV2e2vfikYVskUzPYHCzvSY-u_Wq7sLRw54495vvRGc8jQrz3-JeFDm-FjpV9yfxf_IG7TQznlbJk2rTQSlkfUa1Sgh5Jp9Y/s1600/IMG_4844.JPG" height="278" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
They look quite summer-ish, and probably it's the yellow that helps!!!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The amigurumi in matching colors is work in progress...and I will hopefully be able to share it with you soon!!<br />

<br />
I used a brown yarn, which can suit several occasions and goes pretty much with everything, and I am quite happy with the results!!!<br />
<br />
I'd suggest you guys to have a look at it and give it a shoot!<br />
<br />
Wishing you a lovely sunday!!<br />

Last Christmas my hubby and I got bikes from Santa...and I couldn't be more in love with my bike!!<br />
<br />
"She" is a Pashley...really gorgeous and so pleasant to ride!!! <br />
<br />
Unfortunately, not even a week since I had it, my bike saddle got stolen... and you can imagine how pleasant the ride back home with no saddle must have been... 10pm in the evening and about 20mins ride away from home :(<br />
<br />
In order to avoid having to ride back in the evening with no saddle again, I decided to replace it with a pretty cheap and ugly one, so that nobody would bother thinking about stealing it again...and I think I was quite successful in the picking!<br />
<br />
Pretty good idea....but when I was looking at my Pashley I was feeling really sad that "she" wasn't as pretty as before... so I needed something to make her cute again but easy to take off when I was leaving Pashley alone outside!<br />
<br />
Guess what? Crochet of course!!!<br />
<br />
And I thought that this time I had to make my own pattern, in order to fit nicely with my bike saddle size!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh64Gw1B-8bxXnL0D-Lijp1n-zDlZBlpO1eDY64lqYXWOcjD5ew4AYo8byV0r0bQexhALZukv8gNXmXrtrTJNk4o1sKOgWuzgaEXbGPtbVoPZuw4YC4HWfRHf8MaNcWkZCwxCOzC0zVzaA/s1600/IMG_4747.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh64Gw1B-8bxXnL0D-Lijp1n-zDlZBlpO1eDY64lqYXWOcjD5ew4AYo8byV0r0bQexhALZukv8gNXmXrtrTJNk4o1sKOgWuzgaEXbGPtbVoPZuw4YC4HWfRHf8MaNcWkZCwxCOzC0zVzaA/s1600/IMG_4747.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
It took me a while but I can say that I am finally satisfied with the outcome!! What do you think?</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">
I also thought I should share my first attempt though... as the grey version is the second set I made... I had made my first attempt with some green and pink yarn leftovers ...to test and see if I was able to create a pattern....</div>

<br /><div>
My girlfriends had given me a present with a few yarns in september, saying that this specific one would have been perfect for a cowl...</div>
<div>
... I guess I just wasn't too sure about the thickness...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But then I wanted to give it a go.... it was a lovely present and hopefully I would make something nice out of it. The yarn had to be worked with a 15mm hook.....so I looked online for a free pattern using that same hook, but I couldn't find it. What to do? I decided to make my own in a very easy way.... with just three rows of dc...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And here it is...my first cozy cowl!!</div>
<div>
<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikTfg_0FwloI7a8VRgTl71fliNRW6icLnTTyoifEeK6_G0XPVHQEBuLookK0aNMlNUIZqrjk69X_7DFHThBSAKUkpd8iCYqOCM4BCQjyK3Q6ZC9-V8aeZDUleI4IU__7EtdnoHuhY8RT0/s1600/IMG_4703.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikTfg_0FwloI7a8VRgTl71fliNRW6icLnTTyoifEeK6_G0XPVHQEBuLookK0aNMlNUIZqrjk69X_7DFHThBSAKUkpd8iCYqOCM4BCQjyK3Q6ZC9-V8aeZDUleI4IU__7EtdnoHuhY8RT0/s1600/IMG_4703.JPG" height="291" width="400" /></a></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For the buttons, I ordered them online on <a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Ligamentum?ref=l2-shopheader-name">Ligamentum</a> , an etsy shop which I found incredibly amazing....several handmade wooden buttons to be used for any kind of craft projects! </div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I would love to hear if you like the cowl and I would be pleased to listen to different suggestions and ideas of what you would have made out of such a thick yarn!! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In the meanwhile, I guess I will wear my warm cowl soon to thank my girlfriends!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Wishing you a lovely day </div>

I can't believe my last post was so long ago....but here I am sharing with you my latest project!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimxH9LedH5dzQxGjaKyeOBEXiC4ldg2N18Gkbe-Su_wG0tI-gtvjoWeV6-fhKD97zgXTlgvye135JEYR_KZ-xaMSHNzkOgVVNWkKjsw7MPV-D2mmV06bds1bMIP0mSWCiS_EatZjZex3g/s1600/IMG_4638.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimxH9LedH5dzQxGjaKyeOBEXiC4ldg2N18Gkbe-Su_wG0tI-gtvjoWeV6-fhKD97zgXTlgvye135JEYR_KZ-xaMSHNzkOgVVNWkKjsw7MPV-D2mmV06bds1bMIP0mSWCiS_EatZjZex3g/s1600/IMG_4638.jpg" height="200" width="133" /></a><br />
I've started working on cacti amigurumi... I've first ordered online some mini terracotta pots and then started working on the crochet part with a 3mm hook, two different green yarns and a few bright color leftovers for flowers or pom-pom for a final decorating touch.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I've made three so far, and I was surprised by how little time it actually takes to make them and you can decorate them the way you prefer!!!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0CYJ8xOnK46jqwyOaCMTdXMw_UUmz1ndXDEXtWacW2Vo6fDgWrcOE9ZSl2XELyIRgMdIk9QZIOTUwuuEygseEUQw-csW4ziuje0rBMO-ZGbg767fqE3a-D154FyLAUJEajHbRHHEqJAg/s1600/IMG_4600.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0CYJ8xOnK46jqwyOaCMTdXMw_UUmz1ndXDEXtWacW2Vo6fDgWrcOE9ZSl2XELyIRgMdIk9QZIOTUwuuEygseEUQw-csW4ziuje0rBMO-ZGbg767fqE3a-D154FyLAUJEajHbRHHEqJAg/s1600/IMG_4600.jpg" height="200" width="133" /></a><br />
My original plan was to make ten different cacti, and give them as presents to my closest girlfriends.... and then I heard a story that convinced me even more that that was a good idea!!!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I was at dinner with friends, sharing with them the first cactus I had made and my plan to give them as gifts, when my friend told me that according to some popular traditions, cacti are believed to bring good luck and can be considered as amulets as they keep enemies away and protect you!!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I didn't need a better excuse!!! This is gonna be the perfect gift for my girls!! I just need to work on it and make a few more ;)<br />
<br />
Hope you like them!!<br />

<br />
<br />
I went shopping for baby festive clothes, got her a snowman jumper and some santa trousers..but I was willing to add a handmade touch... so I started looking for free baby patterns of elf hats or santa ones....<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcL7URFUZrq3_FwyxRJ43p-MeKeIQIVGl_mCfblZaOGQPbqSA4YfT5xEnxSFx0bEk46PK9xzfFRddwJEhH49ntbJYSwNnSs8eE825Dw1Q6JLJABDG0shy69z-yVYTiBwJXu5uWdL5woo4/s1600/IMG_4553.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcL7URFUZrq3_FwyxRJ43p-MeKeIQIVGl_mCfblZaOGQPbqSA4YfT5xEnxSFx0bEk46PK9xzfFRddwJEhH49ntbJYSwNnSs8eE825Dw1Q6JLJABDG0shy69z-yVYTiBwJXu5uWdL5woo4/s320/IMG_4553.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
..when I came across this lovely simple long tail stripy hat pattern on <a href="http://alemondropplife.blogspot.co.il/2010/09/pattern-as-promised.html">A lemon dropp life blog</a> ! I immediately felt in love with it! It was shown in red and white, and so I realized it.<br />
<br />
<br />
I found it nicely festive but at the same time easy to wear all over the winter :)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The pattern shown on the blog is very easy to follow, almost completely based on half double crochet stitches with a cute pom pom at the very end!<br />
<br />

I have sent a box to my niece to Italy and I can't wait to receive pictures of baby Gio wearing the stripy hat :)<br />
<br />
<br />
Taking the occasion to wish everyone lovely holidays, hope you enjoy the link to the pattern and try it out as it's very fast and easy to make!<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
I used the free snowflakes tutorial by <a href="http://sarahlondon.wordpress.com/2010/12/19/simple-snowflake/">Sarah London</a> and it found it great....it takes only about 5 minutes to make one of these snowflakes and then you can put them together as you wish and hung them around!! </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I loved the pattern, easy to follow and very quick to make!!! I believe you could also just make single snowflakes and leave them around the christmas table :)</div>
<div>

<div>
If you were looking for a free snowflakes pattern I think this could be a good start!!</div>

<br />
<br />
I looked on the internet for charities that need help from crocheters and knitters and I run into<b> </b><a href="http://www.kofia.org.uk/"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: blue;">Kofia</span></a>, a charity which, as the website says, is "<i><b>asking people to make baby hats for a remote community in Berega, Tanzania. A simple act which will save the lives of malnourished and premature babies </b></i><b><i>- just by keeping them warm</i>.</b>"<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
Here is the baby warm hat I made today.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I started from the pattern of <a href="http://barbarajean1987.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/free-pattern-for-crochet-newborn-baby.html">Adventures in Crochet</a>, added a couple more rounds of dc and decided to add a pom pom with a some green to make it more colorful.<br />
<br />
<br />
I hope you like the idea and join with some crochet hats to help babies in Tanzania.<br />
<br />
Wishing you a lovely weekend<br />

<br />
My husband is American and this year we finally got to live together....So I am trying to do my best to make him feel home in London, creating a nice atmosphere with decorations and hopefully making a lovely meal next Thursday! His family is thinking about flying over and it would make it a lovely day with family and friends!!<br />
<br />
In order to get ready for the event, I have started googling around for Thanksgiving decorations, got myself some autumn leaves as well as pine cones!<br />
<br />
Then...what about crocheting something as well? Thanks to Pinterest I found this amazing pattern of a crochet Thanksgiving turkey from Zara which you can find on her blog <a href="http://www.petalstopicots.com/2013/11/thanksgiving-turkey-crochet-pattern/#_a5y_p=1055250">HERE</a><br />
<br />
I found it way too cute!! I had to try and make one too for our dinner table next Thursday...and here are the results!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbiT8ffscYfhMAU_vYYop2YKjJZixKL3Lkw1bSQJivD4DqOSGMRqKtZ8mRHwojLtrE15DZ1Qn60sYpyZEkDjzn6Xusw4qW8yQU3AcDpk_TqdCfNevR_TKXQGX0pFAVHKa7x8kNnd_Usk8/s1600/IMG_4407.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="291" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbiT8ffscYfhMAU_vYYop2YKjJZixKL3Lkw1bSQJivD4DqOSGMRqKtZ8mRHwojLtrE15DZ1Qn60sYpyZEkDjzn6Xusw4qW8yQU3AcDpk_TqdCfNevR_TKXQGX0pFAVHKa7x8kNnd_Usk8/s400/IMG_4407.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The pattern is free and available on her blog...and I found it very well written and easy to follow....if you're looking for ideas for Thanksgiving, I think you should have a look at it!..her idea of making the wings with granny squares is really lovely!<br />
<br />
Wishing you all a nice and creative evening<br />
<br />
Love<br />
Rory<br />
